Character Creation Rules

Post by Nanaba on Fri Aug 07, 2015 3:39 pm

For reference, see the spreadsheet for unit bases and unit growths.

Credits for character creation go to the Serenes Emblem staff.

Instructions

Depending on how many players sign on, we may have a different number of units per player. We're looking for about a cast of 30-40 units, to be introduced at different points during the story.

Download this Excel program to help you determine your Level 1 stats.

PM me all your character sheets in the format listed lower in the post.

1. Look up your unit's base stats. Note: The two lord classes are off-limits. Your units are listed in this topic. Place the numbers in the appropriate fields below. Luck is 0 for all.

2. Unpromoted: Add 20 points to your unit's BASE STATS in any way you like. 2HP = 1 point.
Pre-promoted: Add 70 points to your unit's BASE STATS in any way you like. 2HP = 1 point.
You cannot add to MOV; it is fixed for now.

3. Unpromoted: 280% total growths to spread as you want. HP is doubled, so 5% put into HP becomes 10%.
Prepromoted: 250% growths to spread as you want. HP is doubled, so 5% put into HP becomes 10%.
Multiples of 5 only.
Add your unit's growth rates to that unit's class' growth rates to obtain the unit's growths in his/her current class.

4. You have 6 boost points and 4 penalty points to determine your unit's unique maximum stats.
You may not invest any boost or penalty points in HP. Aside from that, you may invest your boost and penalty points however you want. However, you may not invest more than 3 boost or penalty points in a single stat. You can have something like +3STR/-3SKL/+3SPD/-1LCK, for instance.

5. If your unit is unpromoted, you may pick one class you can Parallel Seal into. If your unit is a pre-promote, list the base form of one class; you will have access to Parallel Seal into that class' promoted forms.

6) For each support rank, pick stat bonuses for pairing up. Pair-up bonuses are cumulative; bonuses for S rank will include all the bonuses for C, B and A ranks, for instance. Here's how it will work below:

  • C Support: +1 to a stat.
  • B Support: +1 to two stats.
  • A Support: +1 to one stat and +2 to a third stat or +1 to three stats.
  • S Support: +1 to two stats and +3 to a third stat or +2 to two stats and +1 to a third stat or +1 to two stats and +3 to a third stat.

Character Threads and Posts

Post by Nanaba on Fri Aug 07, 2015 4:27 pm

Make one thread to contain character sheets for all your characters, and have one post per character sheet. These threads will keep track of the current data for your units. Make each post in the format specified here:

Code:
[B]Character[/B]
[B]Current class[/B]:

[B]Stats[/B]
[B]Level/Current EXP[/B]: (post this as [level]/[current exp],e.g. 1/53)
[B]Current HP/Max HP[/B]:
[B]STR[/B]:
[B]MAG[/B]:
[B]SKL[/B]:
[B]SPD[/B]:
[B]LCK[/B]:
[B]DEF[/B]:
[B]RES[/B]:

[B]Weapon Ranks[/B]
[B][weapon][/B]: [rank]/[total WEXP] for each weapon type

[B]Skills[/B]
[list][*][Skill][/list]

[B]Combat Stats[/B]
[B]Attack[/B]:
[B]Base Hit[/B]:
[B]Critical[/B]:
[B]Base Avoid[/B]:
[B]Dodge[/B]:

[B]Supports[/B]
[list][*][Support Unit] [Rank][/list]

[B]Description[/B]:

[B]Personality[/B]:

[B]Background[/B]:

For each stat, if your unit has any bonuses or debuffs at a particular moment during the story or a battle, denote them with (+bonus) or (-debuff) after the affected stat, e.g. 20(-4) or 25(+2).

Denote the skills and the weapon your unit has equipped with (E).

If you want, consult Serenes' combat stats page for Awakening to calculate your current combat stats. Do feel free to use this Excel calculator to crunch your combat stats; your Base Hit and Base Avoid are as calculated with just your base SKL/SPD, base LCK and class bonuses. I can also do this for you, if you'd like.

Description, personality and background are all optional, though it'd be appreciated for me and other players if you included them.
